Copal varieties

Copal incense comes in several varieties with similar scents. Black copal is considered by some the most desirable for its rich, heavy scent. Golden copal has the sweetest scent and offers a good balance. White copal is sweeter than black varieties but not as rich or as sweet as golden. All three can be used interchangeably; the choice is up to the individual.
