Collection: Resin Incense

Wood Powder Binders - These are the gold standard because they act as the combustible base, help the incense burn smoothly, and turn into a sticky, natural glue when water is added.

  • Makko Powder: Sourced from the bark of the Machilus thunbergii (or Japanese Bay) tree. It is mostly odorless, highly adhesive, and essential for making traditional Japanese or Chinese-style sticks and cones.
  • Joss Powder: Derived from the bark of the Litsea glutinosa tree, this is highly adhesive and is the preferred binder used widely in Indian (Masala) incense and for adhering mixtures onto bamboo sticks.

Burnable Base Powders -If your recipe is made entirely of heavy resins and raw herb powders, it may not burn on its own. You will need a combustible base to carry the scent.

  • Wood Powders: Mildly aromatic wood powders like Sandalwood, Cedarwood, or Pine add volume, combustibility, and a subtle woodsy background to your incense blend.
