Gum arabic powder, also known as acacia gum, is a natural material derived from the sap of acacia trees. Used in traditional incense making and valued for its versatility and gentle, understated fragrance.

Two uses

• Incense making: its best-established use is as a natural binder. Dissolved in water, it becomes sticky and helps powdered botanical ingredients hold together when forming incense cones, sticks, pellets, or other shapes.
• Burning: a mild, subtly fragrant material that can be burned on its own, releasing a subtle, softly sweet and woody aroma.
